Beth started her career as an interior designer before transitioning into sales. She's coming to us with 32 years of experience including 17 years working with Steelcase products.
I worked with Bob Barnes at another company in Augusta. After he joined McWaters, he asked me to come look at it and see what I thought. I was very impressed with everything the Gresham family puts into the company and how much they believe in their work and their employees -- everything from the care they put into the showrooms to their decision to expand into Charleston.
I started my career as a designer, which is a very detail-oriented job. I've grown that skill over the years and it helps with sales since you have to deal with a lot of the details.
I'm excited to keep learning everything we can offer our customers.
It's a working showroom, so it's a great sales tool. Customers can come in and see how our products are being used on a daily basis. They can even come and use our space for meetings or retreats that have nothing to do with McWaters. That's a great service and a great way for them to experience the space.
I work on any project the sales team brings in, but I've always enjoyed working in healthcare and I'm excited to see what products are out there for education. We also have a lot of governmental clients in Augusta and I'm very familiar with that market since I've done GSA work in the past.
