Babcock Center - Columbia Community Project

July 8, 2019

Each year, Leadership Columbia—a ten-month service learning program for young professionals—embarks on a substantial community improvement project in the Midlands of South Carolina.

With a fifty-year track record of connecting those with disabilities to employment programs, among other life-changing opportunities, the Babcock Center needed a comfortable seating area befitting of the vital role it continues to play in the community.

So, when the Leadership Columbia Class of 2019 set their sights on improving the Babcock Center's Shop Road facility, they knew exactly who they could turn to for support.

By donating a couch, six chairs, two meeting tables, a coffee table, and numerous other pieces of furniture to Leadership Columbia's improvement effort, McWaters helped create a space for future interviews, group meetings, and more among Babcock Center stakeholders.

"McWaters exceeded everyone's expectations. The success of this effort was enhanced immensely by their generosity."
