2016 Year in Review

December 15, 2016

To all our customers, partners, and friends,

The end of the year is one of the most crucial times for a successful company. It is a time to reflect, plan and give thanks.  As yet another year draws to a close; I would like to thank all our hard working employees and loyal customers for all they have done in support of making 2016 a successful year for McWaters.

We have seen growth in all four of our service lines - Furniture, Audio Visual & Technology, Flooring, and Relocation - with both the addition of new employees and with a commitment to expand our market presence.

My favorite story to share with clients starts with the question, “What are the last four things that need to go into a space to make it complete?” The answer is flooring, furniture, technology, and people. This year more than ever, we have had the opportunity to help our clients with all four of these aspects and prove that our holistic approach to providing diverse service lines works. We have seen a collision of technology and furniture, and the growth of our Audio Visual service line and staff is a direct result that has allowed us to better serve all of our customers’ needs.

In April of this year, we made the announcement that we will be opening a new location in North Charleston. Our new 20,000 plus showroom and warehouse will break ground in early 2017 and we are excited at the opportunity that this brings to expand all of our service lines in this rapidly growing market. Along with this market growth in Charleston, we have focused on strengthening our existing market leadership in Columbia, Savannah and Augusta, GA. We have not only promoted from within, but we have hired new Market Presidents to concentrate on strategic growth and better service.

Along the way, our company has had fun too. Just a few of the highlights include enjoying the first season of the new Columbia Fireflies baseball team by inviting employees and customers to enjoy our club suite at Spirit Communications Park; we had our first annual corn hole tournament to raise money for our corporate United Way of the Midlands campaign, and we celebrated our annual Oktoberfest with great food and music.

Again, I would like to give thanks for all the great accomplishments we have shared and we look forward to a successful 2017.

Sincerely,

William Gresham
